Obituary

Richard Burgos, 64, of North Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. He was born on June 10, 1960 in Puerto Rico to the late Virgilo Burgos and Isabel Reyes.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Migdalia  Vazquez ; son, Richard Burgos, Jr., Carlos Burgos (JoAnna), Joey Burgos, Jamie Burgos; daughter-in-law, Tondra Burgos; granddaughters, Jazmyn Burgos, Natalyia Dominguez, Gabriella Burgos, Mikayla Harris, Jordyn Defranco, and Nevaeh Burgos; grandsons, Jojo Burgos and Justus Burgos; great-grandson, Isiah Maddox; and brothers, Orlando Burgos and Jorge Burgos; niece, Heidy Burgos; and nephew, Orlando Burgos, Jr.

Burgos was a truck driver for over 42 years. He was a very compassionate and kind person to certain people he liked. During his spare time, he would love to be outside and garden fruits and vegetables. For those that knew him the most he would always have a drink in his hand. When summertime arrived, he enjoyed grilling outside for his family. While Burgos was a conservative person, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him and especially his family.

The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. His celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
