Obituary

Richard Eric Owen, 64, of Richmond, VA, went to be with the Lord and joined his mother, Dolores, on January 27th, 2022. In the words of his wife Mary, “He was a wonderful husband and father.” He loved following the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs, traveling, participating in youth ministries, and spending time with family especially his grandson, Evan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Owen. He is survived by his wife, Mary Owen; father, John Owen; brother, Scott Owen (Cathy); sister, Diane Barton (Gary); son, Matthew Owen (Nicole); son, Nathaniel Owen (Cora); and grandson, Evan. The funeral service will take place Thursday, February 3 2022 at 11:00am at Open Door Baptist Church in Chesterfield, VA.  The graveside service will take place at Dale Memorial Park on Thursday, February 10 at 11:00a.m.

    I haven’t seen either of you in years, but Rick never evades my memories of him. Gentle souls like his cannot be forgotten..
