Obituary

Robert “Bob” Lee Christian, 90, of Chesterfield, VA was born on April 22, 1933; passed to his eternal heavenly home on Thursday, September 21, 2023. He was a kind, humble man who loved God, his family, his country, and his treasured friends. He served two years in the U.S. Navy, started his financial career in the banking industry and worked many years for the RF&P Railroad in the accounting department. After retirement he enjoyed gardening, sharing his bounty with neighbors and friends. He married Ann Rutledge in 1957 and they had a son, Steve Christian; and two daughters, Kathy Sandridge and Vickie McDonald, who all survived him. His first wife, Ann, passed away in 2009. He married his current wife, Ollie Ross Christian in July 2013. They enjoyed 10 years together, Ollie survives him. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Gladys Connatser and Jean Roberts.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Buford Road Baptist Church, 819 Buford Road, Richmond, VA 23235 . The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
