Obituary
Zandy, Robert Daniel “Bob”, 83, of Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn H. Zandy; daughters, Kimberly Gamble (Richard), and Teresa Drum (Eric); grandchildren, Lauryn Craft (Devon), Mackenzie Hawkins, Amelia Drum, Ensley Drum, Kyle Gamble, and Ryan Gamble; and siblings, Jean Fidler, Tommy Zandy (Julia), and Steve Zandy. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Lottie Zandy, and brother, Charles Zandy. Bob was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1955 to 1957, and worked at Dupont, later retiring from Philip Morris USA where he held a position as a millwright. He was an active member of Branch’s Baptist Church, serving as a deacon for many years. He enjoyed volunteering with many church and community outreach programs. A loving family man, he leaves behind many who will miss him. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 16 at Morrissett Funeral Home at 6500 Iron Bridge Rd (Rte 10), Richmond, VA 23234. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at Branch’s Baptist Church, 3400 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lew’s Group c/o Branch’s Baptist Church; American Cancer Society; National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation; Wounded Warrior Project.

Marilyn and family,
Im so sorry to hear about Bob, such a wonderful person and he loved Our Lord. Both of you have done so much for our church and our children. Whatever I asked you to do you and him helped me awesome and I thank you so much. I will miss him deeply and my arms are around you. We know where he is and he will not have to suffer anymore. Marilyn and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. He was a great man and gentleman as I’m sure you know. He will be missed by many, but it’s good to know that he doesn’t have to suffer any more.
