Obituary

Robert G. Bob Danielson, 76, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2009. He was preceded on July 16, 2008 by his beloved wife of 53 years, Dorothy Powell “Dot” Danielson. He is survived by his daughter, Janice L. Danielson Hazlett; daughter and son-in-law, Sue Ellen Danielson and Laurence F. “Larry” Spiaggi; sister, Marilyn White; grand-dogs, Missy, Roxy, and Chance. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War era and was the owner and manager of Morrissett Funeral Home from 1969 to 1997. He was a member of Manchester Lodge #14 A.F.&A.M., the Meadowdale McDonalds Coffee Group, and Meadowbrook Country Club. Bob formerly was active with the Richmond Jaycees, Virginia Funeral Directors Association, Manchester Moose, and Dale Ruritan. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, February 12th at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be held 2 pm on Friday, February 13th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park. The family suggests that contributions be made to Beulah United Methodist Church, 6930 Beulah Rd., Richmond, VA 23234. Many thanks from the family to all those that have given comfort and friendship through this tough journey.

    I went to High School with Bob and lived close to him in Merrillville, IN. He was a true friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Please accept my sincere condolences to those who remain.
