Dear David, Sandra, Susan, Karen and extended family,

Please accept our sincere condolences in the passing of your father, our Uncle Bobby. He was a son, brother, uncle, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend. We know that words will not ease the sorrow you feel at this time. May God’s love heal your sorrow. and may his peace replace your heartache with warm and loving memories in the days ahead.

Do not think of your dad as gone away. His journey has just begun. Life holds many facets, the Earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the fears in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost – and he was loved so much.

Although you will miss him and long for his presence and all of the warm family times you have had…just try and remember through all your sorrow, that you have every reason to smile and be glad… you would not be feeling exceptional sadness if you had not had an exceptional dad.

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Prayers and blessings are being sent to each of you.

Sharon Oliver Akers and our entire family.

  4. To the family of Uncle Bobby,
I am saddened to learn of his passing. He was always a strong person in my eyes. He also wore his uniform proudly. Remember all the good times in your life with him.
