Obituary

Robert Morris, 83, of N. Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 8, 2021. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Mary F. Morris; father, John B. Morris. He is survived by his beloved spouse and caregiver of 39 years, Sheila C. Morris; brother, John Morris; sister, Mary Lou Johnson; daughter, Donna; four sons, Danny Morris, Steven Morris, John A. Edwards (Tammy), Wayne Anderson (Christle); and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert spent his earlier years working for Richmond Times Dispatch as a contract hauler before beginning a new career as a corrections officer with the Virginia Department of Corrections. His favorite past time was to fish, and it didn’t matter where he was fishing, as long as he was fishing. When he wasn’t fishing, he was thinking about it. The family would like to express their thanks to the hospice staff with At Home Care for their love and compassion. There will be a graveside service held on November 15, 2021, at 12 p.m. at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Sitter and Barfoot Veterans Care Center (1601 Broad Rock Blvd. Richmond, VA 23224.
