Obituary

Sutliff, Robert Bob Warren, Jr., 61, of Chesterfield and formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 17, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Barbara Sutliff; sons, which were his pride and joy, Kevin, Jonathan, and David Sutliff; mother, Ellen Plog Sutliff; mother-in-law, Barbara Rocco; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Bonnie Sutliff, Peter Sutliff and Annie Rioux; brothers-in-law, Frank Rocco, Joseph Rocco, Jr. and his wife Diane; several nieces and nephews; and his devout constant companion, his dog, Harley Sportster. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sutliff, Sr.; and his father-in-law, Joseph A. Rocco, Sr. Bob served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for Advantage Sales and Marketing of Ashland, VA. He spent many years volunteering at Pocoshock Youth Soccer League. Bob was also a member of the South Richmond Harley Club, and rode in the annual Rolling Thunder Ride to Washington, DC each Memorial Day weekend. He also rode in the Wreaths Across America, and delivered to the Richmond National Cemetery in Sandston, VA. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 pm Monday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). A visitation and funeral service will be held in Brewster, NY. Burial will be at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10021.
