Obituary

Robert Wayne Bob Tolliver, 68, of Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Ann L. Tolliver; daughters, Lisa Tolliver, Stephnie Conway, and Michelle Eversole; sister, Pam King (Mark); brother, Paul West (Charlene); sister-in-law Virginia (Roland) Coffman; grandchildren, Tyler, Rylee, Hunter, and Jiddy; cousins, Linda Carr and Virginia Gayhart; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Mona Tolliver; his aunts Mill and Marge; uncles, Earl Moore and Jim Smith; and cousin Larry. Bob entered and served in the US Air Force after graduating from Woodrow High School. He enjoyed the home life and especially liked his trips back to West Virginia for time on the farm and big country meals with family. Bob and Ann both drove truck for BOC Trucking, later Linde Trucking. He had a love for old cars, including his 1924 T-Bucket, 1987 El Camino, and 1956 Mercury, and often enjoyed cruising the countryside. Bob enjoyed cooking-out and entertaining friends at his and Ann’s home in Chesterfield, often by the pool while listening to a NASCAR race. He was very caring and was always available for friends and family to lend a hand or just lend an ear. Bob loved animals, especially his dogs Sassy, Silver, Samantha, and the horse, Tipper…oh, and the cats too, Izzy and Midnight. His long-time dream was to move back to the mountains. The family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be 3:30 p.m. at Forestville Cemetery in Forestville, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the Hospice of Virginia, 1700 Bayberry Ct.
