Obituary

Rodger Paul Donner, 70, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2026. He was born on June 24, 1955 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Thomas Paul Donner and Shirley Donner.

Rodger is survived by his two sons, Randall “Randy” Paul Donner (Lisa) and Timothy “Timmy” Wayne Donner (Chelsea); grandchildren, Isabella Donner and Nicholas Donner: and extended family members and friends.

Rodger retired from DuPont after 35 years of dedicated service as a Machine Operator. Rodger was an avid NASCAR fan who rarely missed a race. He also enjoyed watching football, spending time at the beach, and offshore fishing whenever he had the opportunity. In his quieter moments, he loved tending to his vegetable garden and his yard. He also occasionally enjoyed gathering with friends and family for a good game of poker.

Above all else, Rodger deeply loved his grandchildren. Some of his happiest moments were spent with them, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. His love, guidance, and devotion to his family were evident in everything he did.

Rodger will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of the outdoors, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

  2. Sending our continued love, prayers, and heartfelt condolences to “Mr. Rodger”s family and all who loved him. I hope he gets lots of love from his fur babies in the golden gates above. Thank you for extending your kindness anytime outside, to my little one from the backyard fence where she would wave hi.
