Obituary

Ronnie Carl Jones Jr., 58, of Powhatan, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2024. He was born on March 19, 1966 to Ronnie Carl Jones, Sr. and the late Katherine Billows Peterson. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Heather Skeen Jones; sons, Thomas L. Jones (Maria), Conner M. Skeen and George C. Jones; daughter, Sadie M. Jones; grandchildren, Layla Colgin and Cora Jones; sister, Tammie Allgood (Earl); brother, Tommy Reese (Sissy); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Ronnie Carl Jones, Jr. was born on March 19th, 1966 to Ronnie Carl Jones, Sr. and Katherine Billows Peterson. He spent most of his childhood with his grandfather and grandmother, who were affectionately referred to as Nannie and Pop, who were the driving force behind Ronnie’s love for cars, fishing and God that continued for the rest of Ronnie’s lifetime. Day or night Ronnie could be seen working on other’s cars at Allen Tire in Chester, VA or at home in Powhatan, Va working on his own beloved 1970 Chevelle. He met his wife, Heather Jones, 24 years ago and they were happily married for 18 of those years. They had a blended family each with their own sons, Thomas and Conner, and eventually had two of their own children together, Cameron and Sadie. Ronnie was able to make friends with just about anyone and would provide help to anyone who asked him.

His memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. with a gathering one hour prior at 2:00 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. A reception to follow after the service,  at St. Luke’s united Methodist Church, 4101 SR-763, North Chesterfield, VA  23236
