Obituary

Robert, Ronnie Edward, 66, gained his wings on Saturday, February 17, 2018. He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife Sharon; four sisters: Elnora Jones, Johnnie Mae Richardson, Barbara Wiggins (Clarence), and Catherine Williams (Reginald); four brothers: Arthur Roberts (Ramona), Thomas Roberts, Karl Roberts, and Dennis Roberts (Tameka); five brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; aunts Eartha L. Wells and Alice Warren; a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, including Debby, who occupied a special place in his heart; and many other cousins, relatives, and friends who loved him. He will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and his smile that would light up the sky. Even though Ronnie was small in stature, he was large in spirit, and everyone who came into his circle was drawn to him. He was his own supernova. He lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute. May he continue to cruise on calm waters. Sail on, sailor. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 26th at 2 p.m. at Encounter Christian Church, 21401 Hull Street Rd., Mosely, VA 23120.

  1. My hearts aches at the loss of one of the most wonderful friends and neighbor we have ever had the privilege and honor of knowing. Ronnie had the gift of brightening everyone’s day with that big bright smile. To know him was to love him. He made no secret of how much he loved his sweet wife, Sharon and he never tired of singing her praises. God has a new angel, but we are left with a lot of sweet memories of this wonderful man. We will miss you so very much, my friend.

  3. I was so saddened to hear the news of Ronnie’s passing. I met Ronnie through my work when he would drop off work for us. Every time he would come through the door, he brightened my day. My heart is so sad to hear this news. He always spoke so dearly of his wife Sharon and I felt like I knew his family. May he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

  4. My deepest sympathies and condolences to the families and friends. Growing up with Ronnie he was always a gentleman. His laughter could light up a room. Know that he will always be a part of our memories.
