Obituary

Rose Marie Wrenn, 81, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret L., and Benjamin F. Wrenn; She is survived by her brother, Wayne F. Wrenn; sister, Patricia W. Smith; niece, Mary Ward (Todd); three nephews, Tucker Smith, Steven Smith (Tamara), Ben Wrenn (Sandy); grandniece, Catherine Ward; two grand nephews, Jack Ward, Marcus Wrenn.

Following high school, Marie was a dedicated bank employee with over 40 years of service before taking early retirement to care for her parents. She was a member of Bon Air Methodist church and dedicated friend of Friendship Baptist Church where she volunteered for 11 years. Marie loved to travel with her friends and feed every stray animal that appeared on her doorstep.

Marie devoted her time, her love, and many talents to masonic organizations; the International Order of Job’s Daughters (PHQ Bethel # 18, Past Guardian, and Past Grand Guardian) and Order of the Eastern Star Manchester Chapter #53 (Past Worthy Matron).

Marie will be remembered for her giving heart, dedication to friends and family, love for animals, and her love of God and country.

The family wishes to thank the staff and her friends at Springdale at Lucy Corr, Dr. Joseph James, and the staff at DaVita dialysis center for all the care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Richmond SPCA or the Masonic Home of Virginia. Interment will be private at Maury Cemetery.
