Obituary

Hudson, Ruth D., 94 of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 5, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Ohna Dungans; her husband, Clifton Hudson; sisters, Louise Robertson and May High; and brother, Herbert Dungans. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Cosby, Pam Price (Norman), Deborah Kay Daniel (Lee); and son, Larry Hudson. She is survived by five grandchildren, Andy, Heather, Kim, Ashley, Eric and eight great-grandchildren. She is survived by brother, Curtis Dungans; sister, Ellen Pearce, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by a dear family friend, Joe Mathews. The family would like to thank staff and residents at Commonwealth Senior Living Chesterfield for their care, support, and friendship.

Ruth grew up in Green Bay, VA. before getting married and raising her family in Richmond. She was a stay-at-home mom, who enjoyed sewing, gardening, and working in her yard. She enjoyed country music and trips to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. She loved Berean Baptist Church, which she attended for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and felt very blessed to be a grandmother and great-grandmother.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, February 15th, at 1:00 PM with service to follow at 2:00 PM at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Berean Baptist Church, 2914 Cogbill Road, Richmond, Va. 23234.
