Obituary
Sheila Rena Smith, 59, of Chesterfield went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother Verna Boggs. Sheila is survived by her husband Richard Smith, her son Cody Smith, her daughter Courtney Smith and fiancé George Stephens, her father Robert Boggs, her siblings Rhonda Rhodes, Clarence Boggs, Cheryl Bannister and Tina Bradley, and all extended family and friends.
Sheila worked in the automotive industry for 40 years at General Motors and Standard Motor Products where she retired as Vice President of Distribution. Sheila was a hard-working woman who always took the time to help those around her. She was a loving wife, amazing mother and supportive friend who was strong in her faith. She was an avid Golden State Warriors and Las Vegas Raiders fan. She enjoyed being with family, reading and spending time on the boat at Smith Mountain Lake with her husband.
A memorial will be held at Community Christian Fellowship 1221 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834 on July 31st at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that a memorial contribution may be made to Ovarian Cancer Institute at ovariancancerinstitute.org.

My very deepest sympathies to your family. Sheila was a one of a kind woman with a kind heart and she made a big impact in my life. I appreciate all that she did for me to assist me in advancing in my career, all her insight and wisdom. She will be deeply and truly missed. Mrs. Sheila was a wonderful carrying woman great Boss and I was extremely blessed to have been a part of her life. I will always miss her beautiful spirit smile and grace. I miss her passing out candy canes at work every year for Christmas. I pray for all she has left behind that they find peace and strength in their time of grieving and remember the wonderful life she shared with so many of us Amen until we meet again in Heaven
