Obituary

Shirley Ann Sizemore, 94, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Sizemore Sr., parents, John and Peachy Ferguson, and son, Wayne Bareford. Shirley was the last of six children. She was survived by her sons, Danny Bareford (Debra) and Tommy Sizemore (Kathy); daughter-in-law, Regina Bareford; grandchildren, Jonathan Bareford (Tracy), Jessica Rawlings (Chris), Robert Bareford Jr. (Ammara), Christopher Bareford (Andrea), Matthew Bareford (Jessica), Ashley Scherer (Jonathan), and Austin Sizemore; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her friends that have provided assistance and friendship through the years.

Shirley was a devoted member of Webber Memorial Baptist Church, where she loved singing in the church choir and participating in activities.

Shirley and her husband Gordon owned Southside Plaza Taxi and W.D.T. Saddle Shop. After Gordon passed, she went to work for Chippenham Hospital as an EKG Tech until retirement.

The family will receive guests from 11:30 am-12:30 pm with her funeral service starting at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, June 17 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Webber Memorial Baptist Church, 7800 Salem Church Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23237.
