Obituary

Shirley Mae Fitzgerald Estabrooke, 74, of Montross, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2023. She was born on February 25, 1948, in Alexandria, VA to the late Theodore and Bertha Fitzgerald. She graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, Manassas, VA. Shirley held a rewarding and distinguished career in both the IBM and Lockheed Martin corporations. She was a proud and faithful member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in King George, Virginia. Shirley is also preceded in death by her brother, Roger Fitzgerald and brother in law Ralph Haines.

Shirley was adored by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, beauty, faith, insanely infectious humor, honesty, empathy, as a mother, wife, sister, aunt, daughter, friend, and Mimi to her ten incredible grandchildren has been incomparable. She is imprinted in the best way on us all.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Dr. Robert G. Estabrooke; daughters, Angie Thrasher (Dave) of Chesterfield, VA and Stefanie Pazerunas (Joe) of Lombard, IL; stepdaughter, Deborah Dailey (Frank) Poughkeepsie, NY; stepson, Robert T. Estabrooke (Christine) of Fairfax, VA; grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, and Dylan Thrasher; Olivia and Sam Pazerunas; Ashley Johnson and Brandon Dailey; Taylor, Morgan and Robbie Estabrooke; great grandson Blake; sister, Betty Haines; and brother Russell Fitzgerald, many nieces and nephews, as well as her sweet fur baby Riley.

The family will join together with friends and loved ones at 10:30am, Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 13457 Kings Hwy., King George, VA . Her Celebration of Life Service will be officiated by Reverend Randolph Allensworth and Reverend Richard Headley at 11am and a reception will immediately follow.
