Obituary

On April 27, 2021, Stacie Alvarado left us to join the many family and friends that went before her. She is survived by her beloved son, Henry Eliseo Alvarado; parents, James and Charleen January; her older brothers Eric and Todd; sister Teddi, along with her brother in-law Joey, sisters in-law Melisa and Sarah; nieces, Raven, Tessa and Piper and nephew Todd, Jr. and her lifelong friend, Moke’ Carr. She was a devoted art teacher to kids with special needs at the Education Development Center; an avid bird watcher and her one passion was the preservation of the Osprey population. The Outer Banks was her true happy place for most of her life. Stacie was the best of us, a fighter for the causes and a beautiful soul. A joyful celebration of Stacie”™s life will be held outside at a dear friend”™s farm located at 3420 Huguenot Trail Powhatan, VA 23139 on Sunday, May 2 from 11-4. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to In Memory of Stacie Alvarado at https://inmemof.org/stacie-january-alvarado to support protection and research of Stacie”™s much-loved Osprey population.
