Obituary
Stephen Anthony Dacey Jr. of Chesterfield, VA, age 51, loving father and husband, passed away unexpectedly at Chippenham Hospital after a sudden illness on Monday April 1, 2024.
Steve was born on May 26, 1972 in Lehighton, PA to loving parents Stephen and Diane (DeMichael) Dacey. He attended Panther Valley High School, where he met his future wife , Kimberly. They made their home in Virginia, married in 1999, & were soon blessed with a daughter, Lily.
Steve was a licensed plumber who worked for 24 years in the plumbing field. He was a true craftsman and artist who was well respected by those who worked with him and he always found a creative way to solve a problem. He enjoyed music, was an incredibly talented guitar player and loved nature and wildlife. He especially had an interest in snakes and loved to observe their behavior. He was full of kindness, compassion, and was always there to lend a hand and help others.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Stephen W. Dacey. He is survived by his devoted wife Kim Dacey, loving daughter Lily Dacey, doting mother Diane (DeMichael) Dacey, his beloved sister and only sibling Tresa (Dacey) Eells and her husband Paul, and their six wonderful children; Anthony, Matthew, Ava, Claudia, Tess, and Peter. Steve also leaves behind a multitude of precious aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, extended family, close friends, and co-workers whom he loved dearly. He will be deeply missed by all. A funeral service/celebration of life will be planned for a future date. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Over the past few years I have been thinking about Steve and typed in his name to search a phone number so I could call him. Instead his obituary showed. Kim, Lily and Steves mom and relatives, I am so sorry for your loss. The world has lost one of the good people on this earth. Steve was always kind, empathetic and willing to help anyone in need. He truly followed the teachings of Christ. He was truly an amazing and gifted musician that could play guitar like no one else. We will miss you my friend. My prayers are with you and your family.
