Obituary

Sue H. Byer, 90, of Lucy Corr Courtyard, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2006. She was the widow of John E. Byer, Sr. and the daughter of the late James and Lillie Hill. She is survived by a daughter, Betty Gay Roberson and her husband Leslie of Spartanburg, SC; sons, John E. Byer, Jr. and his wife Lelia and Gene Carl Byer and his wife Gwen, all of Chesterfield; sister, Elton Brame and her husband Bill of Burlington, NC; brother, Marvin Hill and his wife Carmel of New Orleans, LA; two grandchildren, Scott Byer and Shannon Gamber; two great-grandchildren, Briana and Kaitlyn Gamber. Mrs. Byer was a long-time member of the Dorcas Class of Branchs Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday and 1 to 3 pm Wednesday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). Her funeral service will begin at 3 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kitchen Fund, Branchs Baptist Church, 3400 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23234.
