Obituary

Susan Ann Alley, 78, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. She was born in Richmond, Virginia. She led a life of loving her Lord, family, and all she knew. She was a true woman of God she is preceded in death by her mother, Nervie Phillips; father, Walter Phillips; brothers, Tommy and Robert Phillips; sister, Faye Walker; and her daughter, Tammy Alley.

She is survived by her husband, of 63years, Clarence Alley; son, Richard (Tammy); sister, Linda (Roy); blessed with six grandchildren: Michael, Jacob, Curtis, Wade, Stacey, and Brittany; nine great grandchildren: Hayden, Bennett, Jace, Miley, Whitney, Londen, Liam, Reagan, and Harlow; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Susan was an incredible, gentle, forgiving, and loving person. She served as a worker in her church library for many years and serving on food committee for years serving her church and community. She loved planting flowers, taking care of her dogs, going on trips, spending time with family, but most of all she loved telling people about her Lord. Her genuine thoughtfulness, patience, and grace will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Kingsland Baptist, Church, 8801 Perrymont Rd, Richmond, VA 23237. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
