Obituary
Teresa Stanley, 53, of Chester, VA, passed in peace on Saturday, August 24, 2019. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Freddie Mitchell Stanley Jr.; her father and mother, James and Betty Toney; her father-in-law, Freddie Stanley Sr. (Wanda); her daughter, Shannon Stanley (Jason); her sister, Rhonda Parker; her proud Nana of Autumn Bree and Jayce Kenneth Dotson; her nephew, Jason Yancey; her niece, Cassidy Parker; other relatives; and many close friends. Teresa will be greatly missed and remembered for her big heart, unselfishness, outgoing personality, and always being one to do for others. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA. A funeral service will be held Friday at 1 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the Chesterfield County Humane Society, 9300 Public Works Dr., Chesterfield, VA 23832, http://www.chesterfieldhumane.org.

Mitchel? Kenny? Betty? I’m devastated…I just heard Sunday afternoon. I’m… simply, speechless…I can’t think of words, can’t stop the tears… you all knew how much I loved Teresa… we had the greatest times, most fun, laughter… any room that held me and Teresa were always in for a treat!

I am saddened for not only the family’s loss but to all who have crossed paths with Teresa. I knew Teresa in her Highschool days and have only kept up with her through social media but she was such a great person back then and that’s the person she seemed to be through the years. A great loss, a great friend, my heart goes out to all of you.

I am so sorry to hear about Teresa. She had the biggest heart of anyone I know. She was always a good friend to me and I wish we would have had many more years to “do lunch” as she put it. My heart goes out to you Shannon and Mitchell. Call me if you need anything.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Teresa over the past few years through her neighbor, my cousin, Paulette. Teresa was always so welcoming and had such a presence to her. She was kind, generous and thoughtful. She was always sitting on the front porch and would just holler over. She was so great! My daughter, Taylor, spent time with her during the past couple of summers. Taylor was even able to help with Shannon’s recent baby shower which she was so happy to be a part of. Teresa treated Taylor like family which meant the world to me. She will be greatly missed. My heart aches for her family and her loved ones. Heaven definitely gained an Angel.
