Obituary
On November 19, 2025. Tony peacefully passed away in his home. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 22 years, Cheryl Lynn Stockdale-Nolan. His son, Tony Nolan II, his stepson, Benjamin Stockdale ,and Grandson Cyrus. His sisters Evelyn Tillery of Roanoke Rapids, NC. Regina Whitaker of Alexandria, VA, and Jeanette Henderson of Fredrick, MD. His Aunts were precious to him. Celeste Olivia Barron of Bluefield, WV and Eloise Jean Coleman of Alexandria, VA. As well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Whitaker and Frances Nolan. Also, sister Deborah Nolan Allen.
He moved to Alexandria, VA at a young age. He attended Accotink Academy and graduated in 1982. He moved to Chesterfield, VA in 1996. He was employed in the food service industry and proceeded to own his own cleaning company. He was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan as well as the Alabama Crimson tide. He also loved the WWE.
His favorite song was “Something About the Name of Jesus”. Anyone who knew him, knew he was blunt and direct but he had a big heart and always wanted the best for you. He had a huge heart, a generous and giving spirit. If you were lucky enough to know him you were extremely blessed.

To the family: Tony will never be forgotten! At the YMCA he was cherished for his gentle and kind nature! The snow that fell overnight is a sign from the most high to tell us Tony is free! Sharing a life free from the blemish of pain😢 . Tony will be missed! Praying for his family and friends 🧡
