Obituary
Canady, Velma Lee, 80, of Midlothian, VA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Hugh Juston Canady; daughter, Cindy Canady; parents, William and Forlater Scott; and siblings, Odell Radford and Herbert Scott. She is survived by her son, Calvin Canady (Susie); grandsons, Wade Canady (Brittney) and Phillip Steele; great-grandsons, Cash Canady, Oliver Canady, and Jackson Steele; and siblings Louella Stalls (Bobby), Chris Scott (Anne), Betty Boggs (Gene), and William Scott (Caroline). The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10) where her funeral service will be held the following day at 11 am. A graveside service will follow at 3 pm at Edgecombe Memorial Park, 2879 US-258, Tarboro, NC 27886.
