Obituary

Vernell Acors Ebron, age 80, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on July 27, 1945 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Throughout her life, Vernell was known for her humor, generosity, and doing everything in her own unique way.

Vernell dedicated a number of years to landscaping with her late husband and took great pride in her work. Outside of work, she enjoyed family time and stayed busy. Whether it be housework, errand running or just being silly with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She especially loved a day full of yard sales, thrift shopping, bingo, and laughs.

Vernell was preceded in death by her husband, Roger W. Ebron; her oldest son, Edward Ebron; her youngest son, Roger Ebron Junior; her grandson, Michael Ebron; and her granddaughter, Tammy Garrett.

She is survived by her children, Fredrick Ebron, Karen Garrett, Valerie Ebron; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Those who knew Vernell will remember her for her stubbornness, kindness, and work ethic. She touched countless lives and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, VA 23150.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers, hospice team, nurses, and doctors for their care, support, and compassion.

She is loved by many and will be missed by many more.
