Obituary

Virginia A. Hernandez, 85, of North Chesterfield, passed away Sunday April 30th surrounded by love from her family. Those who knew her described her as having a beautiful vibrant smile and the life of any party.  Unfortunately, Virginia’s health was failing over the last few years. Few people knew the extent to which she struggled because she was so strong! She gave the best warm embraces and was known for her tight, affectionate hugs. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain until the end. She is preceded in death by her two sons Rafael & Carlos.  She is survived by her daughters Linda; grandkids (Raymond, Alex, Cynthia, and Lidia). Elsa, grandkids;(Matthew and Julie). Delmi, grandkids; (Elizabeth, Michael, and Bria). Son Alberto “Beto”, grandkids; (Sergio, Isis, Claudia, and Omar). Son Jose A. “Morris” grandkids;(Tony and Victoria), Augustin “Tin”, grandkids; (Adam, Jelisa, and Joselina), Daughter in Law MaryAnn, wife of the late Carlos; grandkids (Gloria, John Carlos, and Stephen), and granddaughter Marley (Daughter of the late Rafael). Along with her children’s spouses, nieces and nephews, and host of many great-grandchildren whom she loved so much. Virginia loved gardening, sewing, dancing, cooking tamales and pupusas, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church members, and all who knew her.

Flowers and condolences can be sent to Morrissett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 8th from 4pm-6pm for public viewing. Followed by a private burial ceremony. Her family gives thanks for the time we had with her, may she now Rest in Heavenly Peace.
