Obituary

Wayne Royal Barlow, 72, of Midlothian went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 14, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Royal Barlow and Janis Wade Barlow and a son, Andrew Wade Barlow. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Gwen Payne Barlow; son, Matt Barlow; daughter, Lauren C. Barlow; granddaughters, Brianna C. Barlow and Reese E. Barlow; brother, Ronald W. Barlow (Diane); sister, Linda Barlow and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Wayne was a hard worker and was always there for his family. He was quick witted and a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. After a long hard battle, God’s mercy prevailed, and he called him home to rest. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Morrissett Funeral Home and Cremation Service (Rte. 10). Wayne’s funeral ceremony will follow at 6 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Rob Dawson officiating. Final rest will be on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 3 pm in Crewe Cemetery, 2002 The Falls Rd, Crewe, VA 23930. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Core for Heroes to benefit first responders and their families.
