Obituary

Willard Will Dempsey Hall Jr., 69, of Chesterfield, VA, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Terry Nunnelly Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard D. Hall Sr. and Ethel Jones Hall. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Fae Nunnelly Bell of Richmond and Anne Logan and her husband John of Caroline County; many nieces and nephews; two brothers, Danny Hall and Luke Hall; two sisters, Peggy Hall and Patsy Craig. Will served in the U.S. Army as a dog handler during the Vietnam War. He retired from Richmond Goodwill Industries. Will enjoyed surf fishing on the Outer Banks, gardening, and in his younger days, he was an avid duckpin bowler. Will was an animal lover and had many dogs over the years. He will be sadly missed by his current companion, Barnabus. A gathering in celebration of Will’s life will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Route 10). Interment will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone, VA on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. with military honors.
