Obituary

William Glenn Atkins, 77, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 25, 2025. He was born on November 18, 1947 in Richmond, Virginia to the late William Glenn Atkins Sr. and Rosa Matze Atkins. He is preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Benson.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Peggy D. Atkins; sons, William Eugune Feaster (Laurie), William Walter Atkins (Beth), Stephen Dennis Atkins (Birgitta), and Carl Daniel Atkins (Stefanie); daughter, Kaydia Atkins; grandchildren: Courtney, Megan, Jennifer, Denis, Korrie, William, Allexis, Bella, Dawson, Channing, Lilly, William, Abby, Cole, Zach and Allie; 16 great grandchildren; and extended family members.  

 Bill enjoyed racing modified dirt cars. Bowling with his kids, in which he traveled for 26 years for the national bowling tournaments. He was a league bowler for over 40 years, and he was also on the board of directors of the local bowling association for many years. He enjoyed his cruises with the family and the grandchildren where they did snorkeling, swimming with the stingrays, parasailing, and sightseeing.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. His funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment with military honors to follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23233.
