Obituary

William Thomas Cleckley, 82, of Chesterfield, entered into eternal rest on December 15, 2013. He was born on October 31, 1931, in Washington, DC, to the late Thomas and Inez Cleckley of Orangeburg, South Carolina. He obtained his education in the Washington, DC area. He began his career as a plumber working for GSI, where he worked for 45 years before retiring in 1996. Left to cherish his memory are his dedicated wife of 47 years, Ida L. Cleckley, two daughters; Annie R. Bryant and Audrey “Flapjack” Deese, one son; James E. Bryant, six grandchildren; Toyia “Toyoto Corolla” Bryant, Sean “Breezy” Brown, Alvin “Medicine Man” Deese, Akida “Skeeta Weeda” Mayfield, Jennifer “Dizzy” Smith, Brian “Boobie” Deese-Baker, 13 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Franklin and Willard Cleckley. He also leaves behind a long list of family and friends, which he truly loved.
