Obituary

It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of Willis “Jay” Harvey Jr, 41, Jay passed away tragically on Friday June 13, 2025. Jay was born on March 27, 1984 in Chesterfield County. He is preceded in death by his father Willis J Harvey Sr. and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Diane J. Harvey, Sisters Amanda Cooke (Chris), Katherine Osborne, Nieces Skylar Berbert, Autumn Osborne and Nephew Robbie Jenkins as well as many loving Uncle’s, Aunt’s, Cousins and Friends. Though his life was short he left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with.  Jay loved dogs, cooking, music, art and was a talented writer. He was a kind soul, loving son brother, Amazing co-worker and incredible friend. Jay will be deeply missed and forever celebrated by Family & Friends alike. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, June 20, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Services 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. N Chesterfield, Va. 23234. Following the visitation there will be a small celebration of life from 4-6 p.m. with light food and refreshments. In lieu of Flowers please consider donating to the Richmond SPCA.

    My prayers are with his family. Jay was a quiet but kind good hearted person. His work family is at a loss of words of his passing. Jay touched many of our lives with his kindness, his great work ethics and his sense of humor. I had the pleasure of working with Jay many years, and he will be truly missed !
