Obituary

Metzner, Zakary Zakk, 20, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Chelsea; son, Zakary; mother, Melissa Metzner; father and step-mother, Billy and Amy Metzner; sister, Kayla Metzner; grandparents, Maurice and Janet Deford. Zakk was currently serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Kearsarge (LHD-3). The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd (Rt. 10) from 6 to 8 pm. His funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 14, 2010 at Victory Tabernacle Church of God (Genito Rd). Interment will follow at Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia VA at 1:30 pm. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to his son’s trust fund. Zakary Metzner Trust Fund, c/o BB&T Bank, any branch.

  2. Zakk, I miss you so much. i wish you were home with me. i love you with everything i have. lil man is getting so big. hes talking so much and hes learning sign language. hes so smart. and he looks just like you, and acts just like you.he is deffinantly your son. i love you so much baby.

Zakk,we all miss you like crazy. i know your in a better place. our son is growing up so fast. hes trying so hard to talk. i know he sees you. when hes in his room at night i hear him saying daddy. and then he says something in his language that only him and you can understand. lol i love you so much baby. i wish you were here to see our son grow up. i love you and miss you

  4. Missy and family,Your family was a part of our life when we were all kids; that seems like so long ago, but we have great memories of school and church. My parents and my family are thinking of you all and are believing that God is taking care of you.
