Obituary

NOTE GATHERING TIME CHANGE: Denise Martin Weston, 61, of N. Chesterfield, Va. gained her wings on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Martin; mother, Mary Martin; son, Jesse Weston; and father of her children, Thomas Weston. She is survived by her daughter, Meghan Weston (Zachary, Sr. and his son, Zachary, Jr.); brother, Michael Martin (Cindy); Nephews, Tanner and Caleb Martin; “Adopted” son, Brandon Griggs; best friend, Kathy Wilhelm; grand dogs, Khaos and Go”™el; and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Denise retired from Chesterfield County after 20 years of service as a social worker. She spent her life caring for those around her. She loved being on the river and spending time with her family and friends. Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering 6 pm to 9 pm on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. N. Chesterfield, Va. Interment will be private.

    I’m so sorry to hear about Denise’s passing. We both were employed by the county, but I really knew her more from church. She was a wonderful person and I’m sure she’s going to be truly missed. I will continue praying for the family
