Obituary

Carmen Elena Fernandez, 63, of N. Chesterfield, Va. went to be with God on Thursday, February 18, 2021. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosario Galan, father; Emilio Vasquez; and brother, Ely Galan. She is survived by her husband, Cesar Elias Fernandez; sons, Alberto Fernandez and Francisco Fernandez (Evelin); daughters, Alma Montero (Yobani) and Mirna Gonzalez (Carlos Vladimir Gonzalez); 6 granddaughters; and sister, Teresa Castillo. Family will receive friends, Friday, February 26, 4 pm ““ 9 pm at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. N. Chesterfield, Va.

  1. Elena will always have a special place in the hearts of Andy, Toby, David, Joanna and me. She was the most caring, reassuring (promised me she wouldn’t leave before I came home❤️) and loving woman and our collective love goes out to Elias, Alberto and Teresa (and her family as well) She will be so missed🥰

  4. Carmen was always ready with a smile whenever I saw her at work. She and Cesar were invited to every event my team had, as we felt they were part of our extended work family. I extend my deepest condolences to Cesar and family. Carmen will be greatly missed by many. God Bless.

    It is with my deepest condolences to the Fernandez family. You are in my prayers and may God give you the strength to press on. Carmen will be missed as she was always very supportive and a true pleasure to work with. She and Cesar were family to most employees in the facility as they supported almost as long as the building been open. She will be truly be missed. Blessing.
