  1. We want to send our sympathy to you, Linda and Carolyn and family. Your dad was a character, no doubt about it, and was always good for a laugh. Your mom would get so mad at him when we were trying to visit, but it never stopped him. He was a good example of grit and determination to overcome his handicaps.

  2. I think of Melvin often when I’m in his old neighborhood. We had many enjoyable conversations when I was cutting grass in the summer or selling Christmas trees in Dec. When he did most of his traveling by lawn mower, he would often help me with my cutting. Later when his travels were by golf cart, we had a comfortable place for us to sit and chat. When we would talk about running a small business, one of my favorite anecdotes was him telling me when you get paid, the checks go in one pocket and the cash goes in the other. The IRS didn’t need to know about the cash. Melvin was a good friend to all and will certainly be missed.

  3. Linda and Carolyn, there are not enough words to express my sorrow to you and your family. You have been the best daughters a father could have ever prayed for. Melvin can rest in peace knowing how much you loved and cared for him. May your precious memories of him keep him alive in your hearts.
    Much love to you❤
