Important Update Regarding COVID-19
Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service is constantly monitoring the rapid changes of COVID-19 (Corona Virus)
We are following instructions by the Governor of Virginia, The CDC, The National Funeral Directors Association, The Virginia Funeral Directors Association and Regulatory Support Services.
The following outlines the Phase 3 procedure in compliance with the Governor’s current order of 50% capacity.
As of May 15, 2020, Governor Northam has begun to allow some businesses and places of worship and or ceremony to operate at 50% occupancy. We are committed to the families we serve and the communities that support them. We ask that families consider that the type of gatherings they hold to be ever mindful of those who attend, and their health and well-being. We also ask that you refrain from hugging or shaking hands and practice safe social distancing.
What this means for services:
As of May 26, 2020, Governor Northam has put an order in place requiring masks to be worn when in public buildings. In order to protect the vulnerable and high-risk members of the community, it is highly recommended that face masks be worn. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide masks for visitors; please utilize your own. Failure to use a mask while in our establishment will be an assumed release of liability.
All Morrissett Staff will be wearing face masks at all times.
We have placed hand sanitizer and polite reminders throughout the building to assist with cleanliness. We have upgraded the air filters on all of our HVAC systems to promote cleaner air exchange. If you are not in attendance and would like to pass condolences or have your name added to the guest book, please call us and we will assist or utilize the online condolences at Morrissett.com.
Once again, we ask you to practice safe social distancing, and to please not attend if you are ill or at high risk.
Families that maybe in need of our services in the coming weeks, please know that we will care for you and your loved ones with the utmost respect and assist you in the options we feel are safe and that comply with the Governor of Virginia’s limitations and the CDC.
This can mean public or private family services. We promise to work with you as families and your comfort level and desires to honor your loved one.
Please be aware that no coffee, cookies, or cups of water will be available to any guest or families. We will have bottled water available at your request.
As we monitor this ever rapidly changing situation, we will continue to provide updates in regard to the measures we are taking. We appreciate the support and kindness shown during this difficult time. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact us at 804-275-7828 or e-mail to Staff@Morrissett.com

My darling Kevin. You are and always be the love of my life. My heart aches to hold you and gaze into your loving eyes.I will see you in heaven when GOD sees fit to bring me home with you. Please give Jesus a hug for me and as you are with him now.I miss you so very much. I am so happy for you but I am so sad for myself, your children, brother and sister. We feel so empty without you. Thank you for sharing your life with me. I love you! I have always loved you and always will.

Daddy, there is no other father in this world I would rather have had besides you! You were always there for me through anything that may have gotten in my way..I still can not believe that your gone…that when I call your phone I wont get to hear your voice at the other end, that when I walk into the house that you wont be sitting there on the couch watching your coin shows, and that I wont get to kiss you and tell you I love you! Always know daddy that I love you very very much and nothing in the world can take that away…I will miss you to the end of the world and more..but I know that one day I will get to be in your arms again in heaven and get to see you smile! Those last few days with you were difficult but I would not have wanted to spend it anywhere else!!! Please look over us, and I know you are with me everywhere I go!! I will carry you with me at all times!! I love you so much DADDY
your PUNKFACE!!!

You are gone now daddy, And i cant do anything about that now, and that breaks my heart. I will miss you so very much.I will miss all the good times we had and memories we created. I will Cherish every moment of them. I wish for one more hour with you, to talk to you about things and laugh and for you to pick on me like you always do. to hear your voice one more time. I thank you daddy for waiting me to be there with you. to have your girls together there, allowing us to tell you how much we love you. Daddy thank you for everything that you have given me in life. your words of wisdom, your love, and most of all your name. things that will be charished for ever.
So for now daddy may you be at peace. but i am not going to say goodbye, I will be seeing you soon.
Forever and always your little girl. I love you with all my heart
