Obituary

Lemon H. Maness, 78, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Maness, and by his son, Jerry Maness. He is survived by his son, Gary Maness, and his wife, Cindy, and his daughter-in-law, Lorie Maness. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Melissa Thompson (Jonathan), Ashley Sekerdy (Michael), Emily Lacheney (Michael), Benjamin Maness, Hannah Maness, and Luke Maness; three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Riley, and Mason, and his fourth great-grandchild expected in March, Elijah; siblings, Ben Maness (Erika), Patricia Conn, Carolyn Gilbert (Ronald), Betty Jo Maness, and Billy Maness. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2017, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10), where his funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

    To my loving brother. My heart breaks with your passing. I will cherish those years we grew up together getting into mischief. We knew we could call each other and talk to one another during the good times and the bad times. I will miss you greatly. I love you and see you!
