Obituary

Patricia Anne Henson, 78, of N. Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2017. She is survived by her three sisters and two brothers; son, George H. Newnam (Kim); two daughters, Annemarie N. Powers, Melinda N. Mills; grandchildren, Christian Powers, Logan and Colby Mills, Matthew and Rachel Newnam. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, James Carney; mother, Margaret Teresa Mills; beloved baby brother, Jimmy. Patricia was a devoted grandmother and a founding member of the Richmond Shag Club. A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2017, 11 a.m. at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. Reception will immediately follow services at Patricia’s home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, Alzheimer’s Association, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

  2. Our deepest sympathies during this difficult time. My husband, Dickie, had known Pat for many years through the Richmond Shag Club, and they had stayed in touch. She was a special person who helped many club members, including myself, to shag. We will always have very fond memories of Pat. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
