Obituary
Peggy Joyce Tolbert Beahm, 86, born October 26, 1934 in Smyth County, Virginia, passed away peacefully after a sudden illness on May 8, 2021, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, John W. Beahm, three daughters, Debra J. Beahm, Kymberleigh B. Gokey and Vicki B. Hauser, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two brothers Randolph and Oliver Tolbert, one sister, Mary Fontenot and several nieces and nephews, and her dearest long-time friend Ms. Maxine Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Tolbert of Broadford, VA., and her beloved daughter, Robyn Elena Beahm. She was a retired school bus driver for Chesterfield County, after 29 years of loyal service. She was also an avid activist for mainstream learning for children with special needs in the Richmond area, especially those with Down Syndrome. She had a servant”s heart and was a Godly woman that lived out her faith daily. She was a lifelong member of Clover Hill Baptist Church. Her greatest loves were the Lord, her family and pets, and the time she spent with them. She left behind a legacy of honor, faith and love of family and won many souls to Christ, and she now wears a crown of glory! Visitation will be held Saturday, May 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge, N. Chesterfield, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Special Olympics Virginia, 3212 Skipwith Rd.
