Obituary
Richard Howard Emory III, 67, of Chesterfield, VA passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. He was born on July 13, 1955, in Fairfax, VA to the late Margaret Clyde Jones and Richard Howard Emory, Jr. Howard was preceded in death by Dana Cumbea-Allen. Howard was well known in the racing community. He spent every Friday night at Southside speedway and many nights working on cars and spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed his weekends at the campgrounds and visiting with friends. He was an amazing mechanic and enjoyed wood working. When he wasn’t working on cars, racing, helping friends or at the campgrounds, he spent his time with the family and his grandchildren. Family was always his top priority. He is survived by his two sons: Steven Wayne Emory (Tiffany) and Howard Justin Emory (Jessica); daughters: Danielle Emory and Desiree Cumbea-Hailey; brothers: David Emory (Linda) and Randy Emory (Elaine); his grandchildren: Makayla, Austin, Brantley, Caytlyn, Georgia; and great granddaughter: Charlotte. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234. I was so sorry and shocked to hear about Howard’s passing. He was always so nice and polite to me and if I had been sick, we would always asked how I was feeling. I met him at the Campground and I know he loved it down there.

I will my talks with Howard and never forget year my house made the tacky tour and there were cars and limos all up and down the street! I will miss him and my prayers are with you and now he’s in no more distress.

I was shocked to learn of Howard’s passing. I had known him for over 20 years, and he was a fine gentleman. He will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace Pal.
