Obituary

Reed, Barbara Denise Slagle, 68, of Chester, graduated to the Lord’s eternal care from the loving arms of her husband on Monday, April 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gay Nell Carlton Slagle. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Chris Edward Reed; daughter, Aleasha Kay Laura Denise Reed; and brother, Charles Brett Calvin Slagle. Barbara founded AAA Sitters Employment in Fort Worth, TX, where the family resided for 32 years. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 at Cornerstone Assembly of God, 10551 Chalkley Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23237. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church. Interment will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018, at Temple Hill Memorial Park, 2529 Memorial Drive, Castlewood, VA 24224. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060, http://www.cancer.org, or directly to the family.
