Obituary

Clements, Billy Mack, 78, of Chesterfield, died at his home on Thursday, September 11, 2008. Born November 5, 1929 in Crumpler, WV, he was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Iretta Clements, two brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Dorothy Sage Clements; daughter, Laura Hatfield and her husband Ricky of Midlothian; grandson, Billy Cameron Gowen; brother, James Clements and his wife, Nancy; sisters, Dorothy Taylor and Essie Nisbet, all of Chesterfield; Mary Hollis of Bluefield, WV; brother-in-law, Joe Sage and his wife, Pat; sister-in-law, Pat Horn and her husband, Walt; sister-in-law, Marie Sage; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Clements was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, a retiree from Westvaco, and a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. He loved bowling and music and was a friend to all who knew him. The family will receive friends 3 to 5 pm on Sunday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). His funeral service will be held 11 am on Monday at the chapel in the Virginia Veteran Cemetery at Amelia. The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Hopewell UMC, 6200 Courthouse Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23832.

    Dear Dot & Laura,
    We were so sorry to hear about Bill. We always thought he was such a wonderful person and great father and husband. You both will have such wonderful memories and know he is in a better place.
