Obituary
Casper S. Stroop, 85, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 11, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, grandson, and 3 siblings. Casper is survived by his wife Peggy Stroop, daughters Sue Osterbind (Donnie), Shirley Haynes (Rick), Sharon Moore, Sandy Bergenhagen (Michael); brother Erwin Stroop; sisters Mary McDaniel, Irene Helmick and Kathleen Brown; and sister-in-law Reba Stroop. He is also survived by his grandchildren Shane Osterbind (Angela), Sara Chaplain (Cory), Kimberley Hemesath (Nick), Mary Johnson (Matt), SSG Joshua W. Moore (Ashlyn), Ashley Bergenhagen, Katelyn Bergenhagen, Brittany Moore, and Ryan Bergenhagen; and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit on Sunday, November 17, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, November 18 at the Morrissett Chapel. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Heartland Hospice or to the Susan G. Komen Central Virginia Center through his memorial page www.inmemof.org/casper-s-stroop

Peggy. although no words can ease the loss you bear, know you are very close in our thoughts and prayers. Casper was fortunate to have had your love and care during his illness.
Casper enjoyed our class reunions. For the last several years it took an extra effort for Casper to attend. He was only able to attend because of you. The Middle River Class of 1954 grieves with you in this time of sorrow.
