Obituary
Delores Ann Alford, 81, of Fayetteville, NC went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Doyle and Millie Little; Great-Granddaughter, Brielle Jones; and five loving brothers and sisters. Delores loved and served her God, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones, especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies. She was a mother to all. Delores leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 62 years, Lawrence E. Alford, Sr.; Four children, Lawrence E. Alford, Jr. (Sheila); Connie S. Alford, Joseph W. Alford (Misty), and Amy L. Rubinos (Lamont); “Mema” to thirteen grandchildren, Brandi Alford, Daniel Alford (Abby), Derek Franklin (Sarah), Kristin Harmsen (Phillip), Eli White, Loran Alford, Makayla Alford, Jadyn Alford, Jeremiah Alford, Isabel Rubinos, Jasmin Rubinos, LJ Simms and Kiara Simms; six great-grandchildren, Cameron Alford, RJ Jones, Charli Alford, Wyatt Alford, Colton Franklin, Landon Franklin; two sisters, Virginia Shearin and Patricia Little Proctor; one brother, Milton Little; and numerous family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service. In memory of her love for children, in lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Hospital Foundation at VCU www.chrichmond.org and/or Gigi’s Playhouse Charleston www.gigisplayhouse.org.

My sweet and funny friend Dolores whom I loved dearly I already miss you so much and all the wonderful talks we shared I will treasure in my heart until we meet again.
