Obituary

Denver “Denny” Burton Mills passed away peacefully in his home on February 22, 2023.

Born on September 27 of 1951, he was 71 years old. He goes to join the Lord, his beloved wife

Anne, father Denver, mother Gloria, and brother Russell. He is survived by his brothers Timothy

and Arthur, as well as four nieces and nephews.

Graduating from the University of Richmond as well as Virginia Commonwealth

University with a Master’s in Sociology, Denny worked tirelessly for CSX Railroads for over

thirty years until his retirement. He held a deep love and understanding of astrology and had

many unique interests. Although he preferred to live a quiet life, spending time primarily with

his cherished wife, Denny was also known for being an eccentric who could liven up any

conversation with his quick wit and original perspectives on the universe. A man of many

curiosities, Denny was knowledgeable in several fields both scientific and philosophical. Those

who were lucky enough to spend time with him would always find themselves richer in thought

and spirit.

Denny’s passing leaves a large impact on his family, who loves him dearly. His infectious

inquisitiveness and novel sense of humor will forever be ingrained into the hearts of everyone

who knew him.

As per Denny’s request, no funeral service will be held.
