Obituary

Frances Johnson was called home by the Angels in Heaven on April 24, 2023.

She is preceded by her father, Willie Gettings. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Lloyd; mother, Frances; sisters, Judy, Nancy, and Elaine; daughters Julie (Jim), Kimberly (Paul); grandchildren, Collin, Drew, and Pilar. She is also survived by a host of friends and extended family.

Frances was a proud mother and loving grandmother. She was a school bus driver for more than 30 years and loved being involved with the schools she drove for. She was an avid LC Bird Skyhawk fan, bringing the school athletes to their various events and games. She was a member of Bellwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, now Thrive Church. As a member, she was part of the Women’s Auxiliary group and helped in the church nursery. Frances always believed in kindness such as sending a Hallmark card on a special day or letting the person know they were thought of.

A visitation will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023, starting at 12 pm with a funeral service to follow at 1 pm located at Morrissett Funeral Home at 6500 Iron Bridge Road North Chesterfield VA 23234.
