Obituary

George Hierholzer, 79, of Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. George was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Frank Hierholzer; and three siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Emily Hierholzer; brother, Robert Hierholzer (Elizabeth); three daughters, Ann Hierholzer (Andrew), Christy Williamson (Ian), Sarah Hierholzer (Michael); son, Craig Hierholzer (Terri); grandsons, Coleman Hierholzer, and a baby boy on the way; and granddaughters, Gabrielle and Angelina Williamson. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., with his service to follow at 12 pm. A brief committal will be held on May 20, 2022, at 2 pm at Sunset Memorial Park where his final resting place will be. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the General Scholarship in English at Virginia Commonwealth University.   1. To one of the best friends I have ever had. George was a wonderful family man and a true friend. I will miss him greatly and remember him fondly for the rest of my life. My deepest condolences to Emily, Christie, Ann, Sarah and Bob.
