Obituary

Gordon “Buddy” Lee Moore, II, 76, of Chesterfield, Va. went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 27, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Lee Moore; and mother, Ruth Moore. He is survived by his loving wife, Fleta Moore; children, Gordon Lee Moore, III (Karen), Cristina Godfrey (Brian), and Lisa Moore (Robert); grandchildren, Phoenix Crump, Melissa Moore, Kate Moore, Kelsey Moore, Connor Cheek, Ian Cheek, and Corey Moore; brother, Thomas Moore (Stephanie); and many adopted children. Gordon proudly served over 23 years in the US Navy and retired with the rank of CPO. He loved all sports and was an avid sportsman. Buddy was a man of few words, but with a huge heart. Everyone he met became family. He will be greatly missed by many. His Celebration of Life will be held 3 pm, Sunday, March 7, at Kingsland Baptist Church, 8801 Perrymont Rd, Richmond, VA 23237. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to any animal rescue group in your area.
