Jan – June & I want to send our condolences about Andy’s passing. We were so fortunate to have Andy as our pastor and friend at Oak Grove Baptist until his retirement. He was such an inspiring person as he accomplished so much during his time on earth. He is now in God’s kingdom, and we know he will continue to inspire others. While Andy has left us just remember all the wonderful times your family had with this good man and cherish them as you and your family go forth with your lives. May he RIP.

  3. Andy and I first met in 1972 when we attended the 32nd Basic Police Training Academy, of the Richmond Police Department. Andy was the Vice President of our class. He was such a friendly person and everyone enjoyed being around him. I was fortunate to maintain contact with him after he left the police department. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. My sincere condolences are extended to Jan and the rest of his family.

  4. My Grandmother, Sonia Brooks, and I send our deepest condolences to Jan and Andy’s extended family. We are so sorry to hear of his passing. We have fond memories of Andy and the family at Oak Grove Baptist Church. We pray memories with Andy will bring you comfort in the time ahead.

  5. I knew Andy as Mr. Rist. Conversations I had with him so many years ago were decent and down to earth. I genuinely appreciated those moments. Safe travels Mr. Rist. You’ve earned them.
