Jeter, Harold Edward, 85, of N. Chesterfield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was born on February 26, 1932, in Kingsport, TN, to, and preceded in death by, Willard C. and Unav Jean Brooks Jeter. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Jeter (2010) and nephew Glen Jeter (1983). Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Ann; brother, Eugene Jeter (Patsy) of Kingsport, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Harold attended Dobyns-Bennett High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1950 and after completing basic training in Fort Devens, MA, he served in Camp Drake, Tokyo, Japan – 38th Parallel, Inchon, Korea – Fort Sam Houston, TX – Fort Belvoir, VA – Fort Riley, KS – Orléans, France – Fort Meade, MD – Richmond, VA – Naha, Okinawa – Fort Lewis, Washington – Pleiku, Vietnam – Richmond, VA, and Fort Lee, VA. He retired in 1971 as Sergeant E6. He was a medic. After his retirement he made his home in Richmond, VA. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 2pm at Bermuda Memorial Park, 1901 Bermuda Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831.
